what is the compression release used for on the b6000e.i have never used one an just wondering what it was for- thanks

The primary design use for the compression release is to aid starting under very cold conditions by allowing the engine to easily spin up to the max. rpm possible by the starter and then snapping it shut when reaching that rpm to attempt the start. It has a secondary use as means for emergency shut down of the engine if the ignition switch fails to perform this function or in the event of a run away. ....
